The sunny isle of Dominica is an exciting assortment of gushing mountain streams, flourishing rainforests, dramatic volcanic peaks, serene lakes and spouting geysers. Friendly locals, hiking, and diving opportunities also make Dominica well worth the trip.

Roseau

The capital and largest city in Dominica, Roseau is a quaint coastal village and the gateway to one of the Caribbean's most untouched islands. Lush forested mountains, countless rivers, and black-sand beaches will explain why it's called the "Nature Island of the Caribbean." If you've ever wondered what an authentic Caribbean island was like, this is it.

With rainforests, waterfalls, and caves, Roseau has excellent opportunities for hiking, while abundant marine life (including stingray, snapper, barracuda, parrotfish, and dolphin) make it a superb area for diving and snorkeling. Part of Roseau’s charm are the distinctive stone and wood townhouses dating from the Victorian era, and the sound of reggae and calypso music.
