• Universal Studios at Resorts World Sentosa. Sentosa Island also features Images of Singapore, a mini-docu programme and museum on life in Singapore in the last two hundred or so years.
• Night life at Clarke Quay, St. James Powerstation…or the 24-hour mall, Mustafa Centre in Little India. - Marina Bay Area, for a glimpse of the Merlion, around which the city-state’s legend revolves. The view around these parts, specially at night, is just breathtaking.
• The Asian Civilizations Museum, for an in-depth look into the peoples of the continent.
• The Bukit Timah and Central Catchment Nature Reserves, home to more than 840 flowering plants and more species of trees than the entire North American continent, and over 500 species of animals, including exotic birds, butterflies, monkeys, flying lemurs and the carnivorous pitcher plant.
• The Raffles Hotel, where the Singapore Sling cocktail was created in 1915. The British colonial building is now a national monument, and sipping the drink a monumental event.
• Orchard Road, a stretch of sheer shopping pleasure.
• The world's largest fountain at Suntec City. Walk in a circle under the fountain for good luck.
